Maplecroft CEO honoured for work in risk management by “Women to Watch” awards

Maplecroft CEO, Professor Alyson Warhurst, has been recognised by Business Insurance magazine as one of an elite group of 25 ‘Women to Watch.’

The magazine’s annual ‘Women to Watch’ awards, identifies individuals doing exceptional work in risk management, benefits management, commercial insurance and related fields. A panel of the magazine's senior editors selected this year's honorees based on their recent professional achievements, influence on the market and contributions to the advancement of women in business.

Alyson was chosen for her work with Maplecroft, which is now considered one of the clear leaders in global risks intelligence. Her contribution to the company includes the development of over 100 global risks indices, as well as cutting-edge technological solutions including interactive sub-national issue maps and a suite of risk calculators and tools.

Aside from her work with Maplecroft, Alyson was recognised for her active role in the Girls Discovered project, for which the company provides over 100 interactive maps of the most important issues facing the global development of adolescent girls.

Alyson is also an Honorary Professor at Warwick Business School; a faculty member of the World Economic Forum; and an active member of the Clinton Global Initiative. She is a board member of anti-corruption organisation Transparency International U.K. and a member of the UN Global Compact Working Group on Human Rights.
