Risk Management Awards 2010

Maplecroft has been recognised for its innovation and excellence in environmental risk analysis and mapping at the inaugural Risk Management Awards hosted by Risk Management Professional magazine.

Risk Management Professional, the official magazine of the Institute of Risk Management, awarded Maplecroft the prize and gave special commendation for the company’s interactive mapping and client testimonials. Maplecroft’s environmental risk products include the Climate Change Risk Atlas 2011, which provides sub-national mapping of climate change vulnerability down to 25km² worldwide, as well as indices and interactive maps for CO₂ emissions and unsustainable energy use. Maplecroft was also recognised for its work in the areas of water stress, natural disasters and resource security.

Professor Warhurst said she was “delighted and honoured” that Maplecroft had won the award and that it was a “credit to the in the environmental, GIS and software teams that work so hard to deliver outstanding analysis via a world class mapping interface.”
