Maplecroft launches new interactive mapping interface

The Map Maker enables users to compare any two of Maplecroft's 100+ risk maps

Companies needing to communicate and visualise risks that are specific to their organisations can now do so by using Maplecroft’s new mapping interface. This includes two innovative new features, our ‘Maplecroft Map Maker’ and ‘Compare 2 Maps’ functionality.

The mapping interface has undergone a complete redesign to increase usability and ease of access to methodologies, analysis and underlying data. It has also been updated with two new features specifically designed to improve the risk identification process. ‘Maplecroft Map Maker’ enables clients to combine Maplecroft’s 100+ political, economic, social and environmental risk maps to produce tailored issue maps. The enhanced functionality overlays one map on another to highlight hotspots of risk, whilst the ‘Compare 2 Maps’ function offers the option of viewing two maps side-by-side to facilitate the easy comparison of risks.

The Maplecroft Map Maker will allow them to build maps which are particular to their requirements.”

Maplecroft also offers a specialist mapping service for clients, whereby maps can be customised to incorporate company assets, such as pipelines and factories, or entire value chains. Maps are available in hard copy for presentations or reports or as interactive, online, branded portals that are hosted by Maplecroft. This service is currently being used by companies to convey complex risks to internal and external stakeholders in an innovative format that is instantly recognisable and easy to use.
