Maplecroft's Interactive Dashboard

A new client specific Interactive Dashboard, enabling companies to create custom indices, maps, scorecards as well as risk monitors and screening tools, was launched today by Maplecroft the leading source of global risks analysis. The tool can be used to combine internal client-specific risk data with Maplecroft’s unique bank of country risk indices and maps, or draw solely on Maplecroft’s extensive vault of risk information, to generate tailored user journey’s including project screening, supplier risk assessment and asset management.

The Interactive Dashboard addresses the challenge of how clients monitor risk across their value chain including investments, operations, supply chains and distribution networks by:

  • Offering a central repository where a client can store all compliance and country risk data and combine it with Maplecroft’s unique vault of over 500 indices. This allows companies to view specific risks for selected countries or regions and create indices, maps and risk scorecards using our proprietary online interface.
  • Ensuring accurate and up to date information is communicated to decision makers promptly, thus improving business decisions company-wide. The Interactive Dashboard can also act as an interactive forum for discussion, adding stakeholder viewpoints, key recent events, and compliance and legislation changes of relevance. It can include quarterly monitoring analysis and trends, historic data and trends and a function that allows sharing of analysis, bespoke scorecards and emails and power point presentations to be generated.
  • Focusing on information that matters most to the client. The Interactive Dashboard can include Risk Calculators and the ability to select indices and weightings for any specific risk calculation or monitoring exercise across all countries worldwide. The Interactive Dashboard can also include sub-national maps.

The Interactive Dashboard helps to improve risk management proficiency through quicker and easier access to information on business risk exposure and forecasting. It also empowers clients to better monitor key risks thus ensuring more profitable investment and business continuity. The Interactive Dashboard can also contribute to reputational leadership, as well as ensuring a long-term social licence to operate, especially in high risk environments such as many emerging economies

Clients are able to tailor the Interactive Dashboard through the allocation of an unique point of entry, user journey, content and functionality. The interactive nature of the Dashboard means users can access risk and compliance issues through a country, issue or operation/supplier/asset view – where user journeys can be specified and include options for different parts of the business. The country menu can be laid out in an A-Z list, region list or as a map.

“The Interactive Dashboard constitutes a leap forward for how multinational organisations visualise risk data,” said Maplecroft Analyst Siobhan Tuohy. “It benefits multinational corporations in all sectors by allowing them to create a bespoke and expandable repository of Maplecroft’s country risk research and external knowledge resources … all of which is also available through a geographically aligned interface.”
