Role purpose:

The Quantitative Political Risk (Conflict) Analyst will play a leading role in creating, processing and applying our unique range of political risk indices. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for the subset of indices focussed on political violence (conflict/ terrorism/ civil unrest/ criminality etc.), but will also contribute to other political work focussed on governance and regulatory issues. Working closely with colleagues from the Analytics and Politics teams, the successful applicant will ensure that the indices maintain necessary levels of quality, and are released on a timely basis. The role will also involve collaboration with other members of the Analytics team in innovating across our range of 170+ political, economic, human rights and environmental indices, and in delivering consulting projects for our clients.

Main responsibilities:

  • Development and application of methodologies for a range of political indices focussed on political violence, in conjunction with colleagues from across the organisation
  • Administration of the relevant databases to maintain data quality and integrity
  • Management of projects, including the update cycle for the indices and client-facing projects
  • Supporting clients in their use of the indices through calls and meetings

Knowledge, skills and experience:

Role purpose:

The Americas Sales Territory Lead is a key member of the Global Sales & Marketing Team, responsible for driving sales execution and performance across the accounts within their territory. The role holder will be accountable for the achievement of sales targets as well as the effective use of resources to achieve such targets aligned with both regional and companywide goals.

This sales territory currently represents $3m of revenue across multiple clients and segments, with an estimated potential value of $150m. Client sectors include retail & consumer goods, financials, oil & gas, metals & mining, technology, insurance, defence, engineering and industrials.

The successful applicant needs to be highly results-driven, demonstrate excellent leadership/management skills, ability to set strategic sales vision as well as lead by example through active account management and business winning. The Senior Account Manager will be a key member of a newly built Americas Regional Sales Team, responsible for driving sales execution and performance across existing and new accounts within their assigned portfolio. The role holder will be accountable for the achievement of sales targets aligned with Verisk Maplecroft’s regional objectives, as well as the effective use of resources to achieve such targets. Whilst the portfolio will include a diverse set of customers across our key vertical markets the successful candidate will focus their time and effort on the Financial Sector. This will involve working with our strategic leadership team as well as other key internal stakeholders to translate our segment strategy into substantial revenue growth among both banking clients and institutional investors. 

The successful applicant needs to be highly results-driven and demonstrate excellent account management skills and new business development experience in relation to the selling of research and consultancy services to the financials sector. Role: Human Rights Analyst
Team: Human Rights Research

Role Purpose

The Human Rights Analyst will work in the Human Rights Research team, specialising in the analysis of business-specific human rights impacts and international and voluntary standards in this area, and emerging risks and best practices for companies and their supply chains. The focus of this role will be on providing qualitative and quantitative analysis to support the development and delivery of Verisk Maplecroft research products and consultancy services related to human rights.

The Human Rights Analyst will support the core research activities of the Human Rights Team. This will take the form of qualitative written analysis in our research offerings and quantitative research, including Verisk Maplecroft’s human rights indices, commodity assessments, and similar projects. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience within responsible sourcing, human rights research, or similar. Strong research and writing skills are a necessity.

The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and growing human rights team, which consists of other human rights, labour, and supply chain analysts.

Primary Responsibilities

Role Purpose

Verisk Maplecroft is currently seeking to recruit a Senior South Asia Analyst and/or Analyst with a proven track record of work and research on India in particular. We are looking for candidates who have spent significant time in the region and have excellent analytical, writing, editing, and presentation skills. Business acumen is essential and the ability to focus on our clients’ requirements is a prerequisite.

Preference will be given to candidates with native-level fluency in South Asian languages, especially Hindi/Urdu. Applicants with strong client-facing experience and business development credentials will have an advantage.
